Hi,
Im Barbara , Im 38 yrs old , married , mother of 6 ( 3 sons of my own, 2 step daughters and we have raised our 2 year old great nephew from birth ), I run an ebay store, Live in northeast Alabama, I stay pretty busy but do find some time occasionally for quilting.
My hubby is a full time produce farmer and volunteer fireman.
I collect quilt patterns and vintage quilts.
And I really enjoy decorating my home in the primitive americana theme.
I hope to learn from all of you !

Hi Barbara -- I am a Barbara too, but use Barb online. I live in West-central MS. My SIL lives in Decatur, AL. She teaches quilt and sewing classes there and in Huntsville at the Martha Pullen school.
My hubby and I love North AL... he would love to retire there or TN one day.
I love old quilts also.. and have quite a few from my family. I haven't made any quilts using traditional patterns... yet. I am planning a repro quilt soon.
Glad you have joined us! Barb C

Barbara,
Welcome to the group. I am GramMER and look forward to our new baby to be born in June bringing the total to 17!! You read correctly, and we are happy for our blessings. NO, we are not related to the Druggers in AK. And we are not Catholic. LOL We just happen to like kids.
Just to clear the record--my hubby and I only gave birth to three and we adopted two. We are too old to adopt more, but we plan to do the primary care for a new little baby whose father was burned to death in a fire recently. His mother is not financially able to care for him.
Quilting, ah yes!! Will I ever get back to doing it seriously or will I continue to wish I had time to do all the grandchildren a quilt each? I have one in the making now for our newest grandson, and the top is only 3/4 finished. I need to get back to work.
