Hi, I just started quilting 8 weeks ago. I am taking classes at the Stitch in Whitefield, NH. I made a lap quilt, a twin quilt, a table runner, an applicapplique of a loon and am presently working on a purse.

My question is what type of sewing machine do you all like? I have a Phaff 2056, which is great, but when I do free motion quilting, it does not stitch evenly on the bubbin side. I had it serviced and it is still doing the uneven stitches. Am I doing something wrong?

Welcome from NE CA. Glad you joined us. Many of us on the forum have several machines, I have 6 or 7, but mainly I use my elna Quilter's Dream.

Hello, and Welcome from Missouri! Clean out the bobbin area of your machine, and change your needle! It might just be a simple thing that is causing uneven stitching on the bobbin side.
This is a great place to get answers, or at least suggestions!

Greetings from Sacramento CA. Sorry - not much help with the question. I have a Pfaff but only do stitch in the ditch so far. There are a few threads on the QB about machine quilting. You might find some insight there.
