Hi, I've been quilting for several years & just starting trying to do the machine quilting when done with tops. I have some fusible batting and wondered how that works, if it's easy to use on a twin size quilt. Also the batting sprays? Any pros or cons on these two methods of putting the quilt together?

A big welcome from Ireland. I don't use sprays, I haven't ever seen them for sale here. I use a Microstitch gun that shoots tiny tacks into the quilt. And yes, I have quilted a double on my domestic machine, but it's a tight fit under the arm, so sometimes you have to get creative.

Welcome to the board from Southern California.
I love using the basting spray. My favorite is the 505. I have been spray basting my quilts for almost 10 years, it is definately the way to go!!!

Welcome from Ontario. I have quilted 3 queen size quilts on my machine and I used safety pins to hold everything in place. It is a bit of a challenge to fit it through the machine but it can be done with a little patience (and maybe a little frustration)

Hi and welcome from Missouri. I have machine quilted 36 quilts, most large quilts my machine has about 9 - 9-1/2" Throat opening and only 1st strip down the center is a bit of a struggle on the largest. I love FMQ.

Do you do it on the floor, or wall? The spray I bought (not 505) says to use with plenty of ventilation, so I will probably have to do in the garage. I was wondering about the fumes. Does it wash out ok?
