New to forum
Good Afternoon,
I'm new to this forum. I've been quilting/sewing for a very long time and I find that I'm needing some inspiration and challenges. I live in rural north central Arkansas and know some quilters but we all live so far apart and gas is so high that I'm looking for other forms of motivation. I prefer hand quilting but I do pay to have certain quilts machine quilted. I like applique but I'm VERY slow. I consider myself of intermediate ability when it comes to piecing. I've taken a few classes at Quilt shows but most of what I know I learned from books. I think the main reason I quilt is because I LOVE fabric and this is one way to use it but have it,too. Like having your cake and eating it,too. I have a large stash but never what I need to make a quilt, but I truly love every piece I have. The term "fabricholic" was coined for me.
I'm looking forward to being inspired by the many members here and being motivated to get in high gear!

Welcome to the board from Michigan. There is always some type of help, inspiration and motivation here on the board! I'm in awe of those that hand quilt. I just attempted my first hand quilting project (after lots of practice pieces) and have decided it just isn't my cup of tea!!!!!

I am so glad you joined. Wow, for you to do hand quilting, I have been doing hand embroidery lately, but afraid to try hand quilting. I think you will get some good ideas., By the way, I love fabric too, have way to much, most of what I got from ebay. LOL
