Hi bee3. Unfortunately we don't have many quilt shops and the ones that exists are very expensive and only have the regular stuff.
There are many Portuguese people doing interesting things with fabric but not quilting.
I even don't know if there's any long arm machine in the country
buying online is also expensive because the increase of shipping costs.
next time you came I ll give you information about the quilt shops.
Where do you live?

Hello and a warm welcome from western Ky. Quilting is a wonderful art , it is so much fun, and fabric buying or dying is very addictive just don't go overboard as your taste might change as mine did, what ever just have fun

Hi Maggie, i remember the sheets there were the most beautiful sheets ive ever seen! But no i dont remember any quilt shops. I was following a great blog from a woman in portugal, she did all kinds of sewing and made such beautiful things, i will have to try and find her blog again. Im in the usa. Maybe some day you can come here and stock up on fabric. Happy sewing!
