I have made a few and am self taught.... so many mistakes.

I also like to make "game blankets " I go to the thrift store find
co-ordinating flannel and or fabric and a quilted mattress cover. Tie them together and the kids, teens can do what they want with them...
no big loss if they get ruined but are nice and cozy too.
