Just registered today. Have never quilted but am very interested in getting started. I've been reading some comments for a couple of weeks now and it seems like everyone is so interested and helpful. I thought I might actually be able to start after reading some of your posts.

Welcome from the Philadelphia area! I really like your african violet avatar! I enjoy growing african violets. This website has been a big help to me and a lot of fun. Glad to have you here!

Thanks to all of you for the warm welcome! I'm sure I will learn and have a good time here. My African Violet Avitar is actually my husband's plant. He really has a green thumb. I've never seen such a large one, the leaves are huge, and it blooms profusely. It had 12 flowers at once a few weeks ago. I joined a beginner quilting class this winter at our local library, we were going to make a color wheel. After we all bought our supplies the teacher quit after the first lesson. I was so upset. Then I started looking online and found this group. I am experienced at sewing, just not quilting, so I hope to get enough help this way. I plan to make a baby quilt for my great grandson. Any suggestions for a pattern?
