My friends and I got together this holiday and desided to start a sewing circle. We are all new to quilting and would like to know what a good project would be to start with

I think the rail fence is the easiest...I used to think the Log Cabin was, but after initiating a Log Cabin group quilt in our breast cancer group I was informed in no uncertain terms that a Log Cabin was not easy!....well....duh....I thought it was.....
