Hi, my name is Carol and i just joined the Quilting Board today. I am fairly new at quilting and wanted to make a few things for Christmas as gifts. Does anyone have easy patterns for place mats and lap quilts?

Hi Carol, and welcome to the Board from Southern California. At the bottom of the page, click on Tutorials, and several different projects come up. There are also many free sites on the internet for free patterns, if you don't find something here.
