New from sunny South Carolina
Hi All! I am new to sewing/quilting. Was googling and found you all. I have made a total of 1 quilt so far, a rag quilt. I have been practicing/playing for a few months. There is a lot to learn, thats for sure, you don't just grab a pair of scissors and start cutting squares of fabric, lol. Right now I am working on seams and cutting. I learn something new every few minutes it seems. Anyway I hope to make friends and learn and share with ya all.

Welcome from Southern California! Luckily there is YouTube with a lot of great how-to videos. If you haven't checked out the Quilt In A Day website, Eleanor Burns also has great instructional videos. This is a great place to learn also. Can't tell you how often someone gives great advice, posts a wonderful tutorial, or lets us know about a fantastic sale going on some place. :-)

Well, welcome to you! I'm in SC, too, and love it. Just keep learning and you will soon be a pro at quilting.
Seams and cutting - I've been doing this for about 8 years now and I am still working on those two subjects. But I'm a heck of a lot better than I was 8 years ago...
