Hi everyone. I am married and I am a "grandma"and "Nana" to 9. I hope to make all of them a quilt someday. I've always loved fabric and so far have self-taught myself. I am fairly new to quilting though. I have made one small one and another about twin size. I did hand piece and hand quilt the smallest, but the second one I did a lot on the machine. My grandma made hand made quilts and my mom made hand pieced quilts. I don't have a quilting sewing machine, but have been happy with my machine janome. I live in Florida.

Welcome from another Floridian. I started out 30 years ago by machine piecing and hand quilting. I have arthritis in my hands now so I am doing machine quilting. I still love the hand quilted look but you have to do what you can. I'm sure you will learn a lot from the board.
