Welcome from Texas. When i saw LadyBird it thought immediately of Lady Bird Johnson. Shows my age if most of you don't know who she was. You will love the forum. It is a nice busy place and very informative.

Welcome from central Florida. I have a Janome 6500 that I use to machine quilt. I took some classes from my LQS but the best way to learn free hand machine quilting is practice, practice and more practice. Our local Humane Society is always looking for small quilts and it is a perfect opportunity to practice because the dogs are very generous with their appreciation whether the stitches are even or not.

Hi Ladybird
Welcome to the group from Missouri
I have a couple of Janome quilting machines, but don't know
anything about the Husqvarna machines.
I'm sure there is some one on this group that can help you
with your quilting questions using your machine.

Welcome! I'm sure you've already been warned to be sure your machine is professionally cleaned and checked out before sewing on a machine that has been stored for even 1 year, let alone 10 years!
I'm not very good at fmq yet, either. My forte is figuring out how to make a pattern fit the size quilt I want, and choosing fabrics that look better together than you might expect!
