Welcome from the central valley of California.
I'm a born and bred West Virginian, from little
Milton on the mud, not far from Charleston.
My little hillbilly Grandma, Vena Field, taught me
early to quilt using anything at all that she had
on hand. From Grandpa's old wool pants to the
many chicken feed bags with lovely patterns,
she kept her hands busy all her life. And I'm telling
you, those feed bags never wore out!! I would love
to have one of my favorites from my childhood,
that had a pattern of red feathers and a jaunty
rooster on it. I had the cutest blouse made from it~
