newbie! :) Just saying hi and showing off my first squares!
Hi guys! As the topic says, I'm a newbie. I've wanted to quilt for some time but just have never had time. Well, my hubby gave me a quilt kit with fabric for Christmas so I decided it was time to learn! I went and picked up a few other pieces of fabric to go along with the fabric in the kit, and last night had a fun night with my mom having her teach me how to use the sewing machine and sew a straight line. Yes, Like I said I'[m really new to this!
BUT I made 4 squares last night and I'm so excited. Here is the tutorial for the quilt that I am following:
http://whiletheysnooze.blogspot.com/...t-kind-of.html
and here are pictures of my first few squares!
Quick question - where can one get a good tutorial on the actual QUILTING part using a regular sewing machine? Is it possible? I don't have the money to invest in a quilting machine at the moment and am hoping that I will be able to use a regular sewing machine!
Thanks for any and all help and information.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Btw - I'm in Louisiana. Any others on here from La?
Thanks for the tips on where to look for free motion quilting tutorials. I'm wondering - how difficult will it be to do if I don't have an inset machine or a table that sits at my machine height? Not sure yet how much I want to invest in this hobby until I do at least one quilt.
