Default Newbie from north central Ohio

I guess I should of done this when I first joined. I think I was intimidated ! I have been sewing practically my whole life but never quilted. It scared me to death just looking at all the beautiful quilters and how difficult they are. I guess I just decided to jump in after having the material laying around for two years to make my mother in-law a quilt. I finally can see squares instead of the whole design which makes it more manageable for me. I have a very long way to go but with all of your help and guidance I think I am finally on my way. I have four daughters, and nine grandchildren that each would love a quilt hahahaha, so many quilts so little time

Welcome, from Texas! If the grandchildren are still small, lap quilts would be perfect! They go together quickly and and are perfect, for building your skills.

Welcome, from a Buckeye that lives in NM! I have only been quilting about 4 years now, never did any sewing prior to that. The best SPIRAL bound book on quilting that always helps me is "Complete Guide to Quilting" by Better Homes and Garden - wonderful pictures!
