:D Thank you for the kind encouragement. I'm getting organized. That includes my other unfinished projects! I'm going to have to learn to use the forum boards too. Thought a reply went to one person but guess it goes to all. That's ok but did want to thank each of you individually for your welcomes. I can see by the pictures of your quilts you do beautiful work.

I'm impressed with all of your messages and the quilts - man oh man alive!!! such talent. I admire each and every one. And enjoy seeing where everyone lives. I don't know why but I was surprised to see this website is international too, that's really nice. I love to look at quilt books and see quilts made in other countries. The quilt my greatgrandmother made is a pattern I've never seen otherwise. I did find it in a book of about 5,000 patterns. Very simple and plain but interesting. Thanks again for each message.

Hello and welcome from just down the road in The Woodlands. There's a quilt guild in Conroe and another one down here. You may be surprised at how many quilters you will be able to meet close to home, as well as around the world via this site.
Whatever acronyms come up, don't be afraid to ask. There's always someone with a quick response.
Happy quilting!
