Hi Dumpling! Welcome to our group. Any time you want to get on a plane and come to Vermont I'd love to meet you. The best thing about quilting after making clothes is that there are no zippers or fitted sleeves on a quilt. Lots to learn here.

Welcome from Andrews, NC. Boy are you ambitious! the mariner's compass is a beutiful pattern. If you are serious about making it I would suggest using the interfacing with the pattern on it already.
