Newcomer to the board from Oklahoma

I am still recovering, but getting stronger--thanks to all for the welcomes.
I will try to get pictures soon--do not have a digital camera yet, but the pastor does--and we are tying the quilts at the church, so I will ask him to take pics.....
We're heading there in a couple of minutes to tie a quilt for a mentally challenged lady who attends our church.
She had called a neighbor of mine, who has severe arthritis--and no money for fabric ---asking her to make her a quilt(the neighbor is just finishing one that has taken her a year to complete). I told the neighbor to find out what color she likes, and we will give her one for Xmas. when she went to church on Sunday, the top was laying on the tables awaiting tying. She commented--"oh, what a pretty quilt that will be when it's finished"--won't she be surprised when she gets it as a present?
I gave away about 20 last year.....
If anyone wants to do a good deed, use some of your stash to make someone really happy with a quilt(like Project Linus)--if you use blankets instead of batting, it greatly reduces the cost, and you can tie them instead of quilting.
