I'm a NICU RN and work the night shift. That works well for those nights I am home and awake while everyone else is asleep. I get quiet time to sew :D

My son was run over a couple years back and all my quilting and sewing things were packed up and stored by my daughter in preparation for bringing him home from the hospital (he is fine now :) ). Where she stored everything is still the family mystery. Even the attachments, power cord and foot control for my then brand new quilting machine went missing. :? I have finally replaced everything I have lost except the finished wall hangings and quilt tops waiting to be quilted :( Those I fear are gone forever although I hold out the unrealistic hope that they will suddenly appear.

I have been quilting for about 9 years and sewing since I was a teen. I also do quite a bit of needlework. I love to design. Several of the missing wallhangings were one of a kind pieces I designed. I am trying to recreate a couple of them but the drawings for the originals are also among the missing.

I am glad to have found this forum and look forward to seeing what everyone is up to.

Welcome and Hafa Adai from Guam!
I'm sorry to hear about your son, but so glad he is fine now.
That's awful about your sewing and such. I've had things like that happen which is one reason why we travel the world with everything we own now. Don't want it to ever happen again.
But...if you EVER make something and need a safe place to keep it,,,,I'm your girl! I'll make sure that no one steals it from you. I'll protect it!! :) :) It's just a service I offer...it's free! lol
