I have 'rejoined' this message board. I am from wet Minnesota (will it ever quit raining?). I am 79 yrs. old, a retired RN, am a new widow, raised 6 children (the oldest 2 have passed away), have 16 grandchildren and 5 1/2 gr. grandchildren (the oldest is in the navy), and have made them all 2 quilts. I love machine embroidery and am now incorporating embroidered blocks in my quilt tops. At present I am turning Jerry's workshop into an extention of my sewing area. This is involving a lot of painting - just don't know where to quit. I'm eager to get it completed so my BabyLock Tiara quilting machine can be delivered and I can start learning how to use it.

Happy Day!!! Love your "Spunk!" It is so refreshing to hear women being open to learning new things, adding on to their lives and having fun! I was a postmaster in a small town and the majority of my customers were retired. It was interesting to listen and learn from my community. Some people, it seemed, were determined to be unhappy and found reasons to defend their unhappiness. Others were so busy. I couldn't see how they could do everything they did each day. Whoo-hoo! Life is Good!

Hi there! I also love machine embroidery (Babylock Esante) and also incorporate embroidery into my quilting blocks. In fact, my very first quilt is a baby quilt and I added some butterflies to the quilt top. That top is ready to be quilted shortly. I look forward to seeing your posts!
