Hi,
I'm a newbie to the board but not so new to the subject. My SIL (sister in law) and i run Sisters Embroidery Co. and may have met some of you if you made it to the biggest outdoor quilt show last weekend! We offer embroidered block quilt kits. It was a great show, give me a shout and let me know if you were here!

Wasn't there but welcome to the board :)

Eddie 07-16-2009 02:40 PM

I wasn't there, either, but it sounds great and wish I could have been! Anyway, welcome! :)

Lacelady 07-16-2009 02:57 PM

Welcome to the board from Ireland, and please post us some pictures of last weekend if you can. The ones that get published in magazines all seem so small that you can't see any detail. Thank you.

Welcome from Southern California. Would love to go to Sisters for the quilt show. A couple of friends and I have talked about it, maybe in a year or two!!

Hi and welcome from Ninnie in NC.
There were some from this board there, they posted some pictures!

oohhhh...so lovely...I dream of one day having my own quilt shop!
Some mornings I pause at my back door before leaving for work, dressed in my office clothes, brief case in hand and wonder what goverment offical I will have to deal with today and what business I will try to help keep open for another year, if the committee that has been selected for our next event will come through and mentally glance at my desk that has piles of paperwork on it......I then give a big sigh wishing I could just throw all that out the door and hide in my sewing room all day. There's nothing like being creative with your hands. Just touching fabric brings a calm but excited feeling all over oneself. Maybe one of these days!

Pictures of the quilts hanging in the Library the day after the show

It was up at about 10 feet so i couldn't get alot of detail but you should have seen those points! They were perfect!

I thought this was interesting. Really thinking outside the box!

Hanging in the children's library behind their computers. This was another example of perfection!

The most beautiful quilt i saw there! Up close it had tule for subtle shading, just a few beads and an amazing amount of fabric colors.

Up close of the bushes, looked like burning bush to me!

This was striking and very eye catching. Very subtle shades of red, you had to get right up there to see the differences. Such a cool "fringe" too!

Red on red on red! Lots of details.

Tried to catch the detail. Red on red was striking but tough to get the subtleties. Alot of work went into this one tho!

I loved the way they finished this off. Think i'm gonna do something similar for my peacock quilt that i'm entering next year!

Hi from Massachusetts, and welcome. Wow!!!!

quiltswithdogs 07-25-2009 09:59 AM

Welcome from Northern California. I've never been to your neck of the woods unless I passed through coming home from Boise over Blue Mountains, through Portland, on down to San Francisco Bay Area. Oregon sure is beautiful. Love your business' name, your work and your shared photos.

Lori Sunshine 07-31-2009 06:59 AM

Thanks for the pictures. I called hubby in to see the tree quilt, and he wants me to get the pattern!! I told him it was more than likely an original and no pattern was available. But, WOW, what a beauty!!! When I grow up, I want to be able to create that quality of work.

Janstar 08-02-2009 05:32 PM

Hi and welcome Jae. I was there and it was so fun to see all those fabulous quilts. Can't wait till next year and I'll be looking for you and your goods.

Wine Woman 07-14-2010 10:20 AM

Welcome from Sherwood, Oregon! Wish I would have known about your place before the show would have loved to stop in and meet you! There was a group of us from the board that meet at noon. Lots of fun. Next year I will come in and say hello if not before!

Thanks for sharing your pics-I wasn't able to see those at the show so it was nice to see what I missed!

UglyCook 07-14-2010 10:23 AM
