Hi my name is Tiffany, and I have wanted to start quilting for awhile. I currently cross stitch and crochet, I always wanted to learn how to knit but my grandmother, who was the only person I knew of that knitted, passed away before I had a chance to learn from her. This past weekend I went out and bought my first sewing machine since the one my mother gave to me wasn't working. My mom knows the basics of quilting but this is more of a learning experience for borth of us.

Welcome from yet another western NY-er. You'll find lots of answers, suggestions and advice here. Just be careful that you don't spend all your time on the forum, reading! Go use that new machine, too! Practice makes ... if not perfect ... shall we say "greatly improved"?

Welcome from Tucker/Lilburn! Be sure to check out Intown Fabrics (just off I-285) if you live close by or are up this way...they are my favorite shop. And to Quiltzilla who climbed Stone Mountain----way to go! Not an easy climb for most of us, though I'll be doing it in November with about 100 6th graders! :)
