I live in Alaska and enjoy making baby quilts for the local Crisis Pregnancy Center. As people have provided me with many scraps, I use them to make scrappy quilts. Scrappy doesn't mean crappy. I make some very pretty ones, and they are appreciated very much. God has given me the talent and interest and the time now that I'm retired.

Welcome to the board from Iowa. |
A couple of years I made 100 each year. In 2010 I had a fall in Feb which resulted in brain surgery to remove blood seeping into my brain. Was paralyzed on right side for a while. 3 months in rehab, and thanks to the good Lord, I am back to normal and making quilts again. Also broke my arm in November 2010, but I am a tough old bird, I'm back at it again!
What city are you in? or village, ha ha |
Thanks Margaret. We're having freezing rain now but expect temp to drop near zero by weekend. But my sewing room is warm!

Such a cute baby. My hometown is Binghamton, though I haven't lived there for many moons.

Thank you. We were stationed in Germany way back in 1963-66. Beautiful place. We lived in Sippersfeld, husband was stationed at Sembach. Had friends at Ramstein, & traveled a lot during the summers.

I was born in Binghamton, and have a sister in a nursing home in Elmira. This a first try - I tried to send a quilt photo. Did it come though OK?
