I just signed up and am looking forward to chatting and learning. I have been a quilter, off and on, for the past 33 years. I was going to be a diehard hand quilter. That didn't last past my first quilt...a Lone Star. I am a Quiltaholic and a Fabricaholic and I haven't found a 12-Step Program for either, so I continue with my addictions. I'm looking into getting a longer longarm machine to cover more territory in less time and build a business. Even though I live in one of the hottest states I find I still use quilts, as do most of my friends.

Welcome to the board!

From Ninnie in NC , who is a die hard hand quilter and also an addict!

Gee! It is even later in NC than in AZ. Nice to meet you, Ninnie. Love to do quilting by hand., but it takes forever. The end result is well worth the effort, but most people don't appreciate it. They want something NOW! :?

Are you working the night shift? My cat is telling me it is time to go to bed and I am agreeing with her. Hope to catch you later.

Welcome from Texas. I spent a couple of years in AZ, and really, really liked it. Would go back in a second, if I didn't have so much, er, stuff.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I am from Michigan originally. Love to see snow on the ground, but had enough of shoveling it. Thus the move. To see the sun almost everyday is a blessing. Have a super day, All. :D

Welcome from Southern California. I'm not it the hottest area but if my kids are home watching a video during the summer, it can be 95 outside and the will all have a quilt covering them while they watch a move. Must be a "comfort" thing!!!
