Greetings from Illinois!!
I ran across this site about a month ago and decided to join! I began quilting four years ago when my daughter went away to college. I wanted to send her with something comforting from home, so I decided to make a rag quilt which included material with her school colors and squares cut from old blue jeans that belonged to each of us (her mom, dad and brother). I have since made one twin sized tshirt quilt for my son, king sized tshirt quilts for each of my brothers, another quilt for my daughter, a baby quilt for her best friend, and some taggie blankets. Right now I'm working on a tshirt quilt for my son's best friend who has been diagnosed with cancer with hopes that he finds comfort and the strength to fight his disease. It truly is a rewarding hobby and helps me find peace and comfort from dealing with life's challenges. I look forward to building friendships with those of you enjoying the same hobby!!
