Happy New Year! Happy return to creative sewing
Greetings from Northern Idaho. After a long absence from creative sewing, became wonderfully inspired upon hearing about new tools at a Christmas dinner and then discovering and joining the Quilting Board December 26th. - My Mother made my clothes when I was growing up in Oregon, and always loved them and felt grateful for the caring expressions. - Have enjoyed appliqué, patchwork, doll & bear making, and some sewing of gifts and simple clothing. It has been many years since I've sewn and want to make gifts primarily for my children and grandchildren. Planning to start with seasonal items I can finish such as table toppers, pillow covers, etc. Will also take classes and use the new fabric cutter and dies on order. Thank you for the inspiration and encouragement already received and gleaned from the Quilting Board. I am grateful for the connection. Hooray! Feel like I have a mega dose vitamin source of support to help guide and reclaim the joy of creative sewing. Have been to two quilting stores, Jo ann's, and online within the past few days. Going back tomorrow to sign up for classes. Let the new and renewal begin!
