Hello from Cajun Country!
 

I'm new here as of today! I found this group doing a Google search for quilting forums. I recently joined our local quilting guild (Quilters Guild Acadienne) and have already committed to assembling a top for a Home of the Brave quilt.

I'm not new to sewing, but am just getting into quilting (both my sister and mother-in-law are quilters).

I'm a transplanted Texan, born and raised in Houston TX. Moved to Louisiana in the 70's, and have been here ever since. I retired from my civil service job in 2008 when I turned 60. We have one daughter and two granddaughters who live in Arizona.

I hope I pick up a lot of helpful advice from this forum!
