Hello from the Catskill Mountains

I own a MegaQuilter 18x8 and am hoping to earn a little money with it. I enjoy quilting and sewing and have always wanted to own a long arm. Yesterday I began having problems with my machine where the needle is no longer picking up the bobbin thread. I have tried everything, tension, thread, cleaning, making sure the frame is level. I am hoping someone can help me.

Thanks,

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. Sorry I can't offer any advice since I don't own a long arm. On regular machines it's supposed to be TNT or thread, needle, tension but it sounds like you've already done those.

Hi Welcome to the QB.

Sorry, I too do not have a longarm and cannot help you. You could go to the search box and type in Long Arm, I'm sure something will come up that may help you. There is a public forum for long armers. You might try to google it and see what comes up also.

Hope you enjoy the time you spend here. :)

is it possible that your quilt is too far off the bed?

Hello and welcome from New York. Check your bobbin to make sure the thread is in the right direction and inserted properly. Check online for help is also very useful. Good Luck!

I don't have a longarm, but on my ancient industrial machine, I was having a similar problem. What it needed was oiling.
