I've been quilting for most of my life and gravitate toward reproduction fabrics, traditional scrap quilts, and funky folk art. I love my rotary cutter and anything that can speed up production, but I also enjoy hand applique because I find the fine, quiet stitching very soothing. I also knit and do cross-stitch, love to bake, and hope to find time one day to make traditional hooked rugs.
My husband and I are in the midst of moving back to Delaware (his job) where we'll reside in rural Clayton. We have six kids, ages 15-25, and one grandchild. My husband is a scientist and I have a fabric shop on etsy. We are very active in our Christian church and our faith is very important to us.
I'm happy to have found this board, and I'm hoping to become part of the quilting community here. I've been on Ravelry (yankeegirlsue) since it started (back when you had to wait months and months to join, haha) and didn't know there was anything online for quilters, too.

Hello!
From a huge Quilt shop 1hr and 40 minutes away! If you don't mind the drive! I know there are some good shops in De. But, we still get a few people who make the drive up here! Let Rob or me know if you ever make it to the shop!
