Hi My name is Bonnie, I am 26 years old and a mother of three. I am staying home for now. I am trying to get started quilting because it has always fascinated me! I love to do crafts and I am hoping I will love quilting also!

Thank you so much! I have already seen alot of very helpful tutorials here. I do have a question though, is it ok to use flannel as the batting? if not why?

Hello from PA. First thing to do is learn how to post pictures so we can all see your projects and cheer you on! And with three little ones your task is to find the time! Have fun

Flannel, I never thought about it.

Are you hand quilting or machine ? It would make a very thin, almost summer weight quilt. I don't know why not. Anything you can think of to do is okay. Try experimenting with a small sample sandwich 12" square top piece, flannel and backing piece. Quilt some lines on it either by hand or machine and see if you like it! I do samples like this for every thing I want to try and it gives me a good indication if it will work or not. It is all an expiriment!

peace
