I didn't formally introduce myself when I first started posting on here so I thought.....I should do that.

I am Angie. I live in KY with my husband and our 5 children. I was a stay at home mom until March of 2009. We had basically ran our own small little trucking company here and we sold our trucks and DH came off the road. He got a job as an instructor for the local college. He loves his job! I started working at Dairy Queen and then got the call about the position at the college as the admissions rep, so I took it. Much more pay than what I was getting. With 5 kids you need all the help you can get.

I started quilting at the begining of 2009 and just loved it. We have a local quilt shop here in town that does the BOTM and it is reasonably cheap to get to do. I was instantly hooked! Then the quilt shop was going to have to close because of the economy....I was shocked and devastated! How was I going to get to learn how to quilt without these class?!! Well, the owner basically closed the shop but reopened after getting a buyer! She still runs the shop but doesn't own it any longer. I think the shop is doing much better now.....especially after knowing that we would have at least an hour or more to drive to get fabric!

I was so excited to get to find this wonderful board and have started meeting some awesome people! Everyone makes you feel right at home and I love that feeling. Thank you all so much! I hope that I somehow can help someone if they need my help like you all have helped me! I love seeing all the pictures and seeing all the wonderful patterns. I wish I didn't have to work and could just sew all day long!! Until then I'll get in bits and pieces of sewing and be greatful to have you all there with me as I do.

Thanks for creating such a wonderful board.

Hugs,
Angie S.
