Hello from Texas!
As we say here, "howdy, y'all!" I started quilting 31 years ago when pregnant with my first child, and really got going with it regularly about 16 years ago. I am active in two groups--one is a bee, and the other is a group that makes charity quilts. I love big, bold patterns, cats, antique and vintage sewing machines--especially Singer Featherweights! I am teaching myself to repair and maintain my machines. I love taking an abused machine back to top running shape and improved cosmetics. I found this board when I searched for a way to repair the clear coat on my latest FW machine, a 1936 version. I have a Pfaff 130, a Bernina 1030, a Bernina 730, a Franklin treadle in cabinet, a Singer treadle head with Tiffany decals, a Singer 15-30 with Flying Eagle decals, a Singer model 328, and yes, five Featherweights, ranging from 1935 to 1957. Great to find this site! Theresa

Welcome neighbor! My daughter lives in Sugar Land - my grandson goes to school at Sugar Grove Christian School if that gets you oriented. I live about an hour away in El Campo - towards Victoria. You will continue to find a wealth of information on this board - and I'm sure you'll have a lot of info to share, too. Howdy!
