After lurking for a few months I decided to sign up. I am pretty new to quilting, started last year but then had to quit for about five months. I am back at it but this work thing really gets in the way of my quilting time. I don't know too many people that quilt especially not many my age (35) so it is really nice to be here. I am loving all the pictures and suggestions.

Hi! Welcome from Minnesota!

I am fairly new at quilting..I have made a California King quilted bedspread, a "peace" quilt for my granddaughter and a baby quilt. There is a 30 year spread from the bedspread to the peace quilt. I started quilted again last spring and found that I still loved it but was sadly lacking in the "how to do's" so here I am devouring anything that has quilt somehwere in the sentence...the ones I have seen on here are so beautiful that I am just amazed.. God bless you all and thank you for sharing.

As far as being 35.. just think of all the quilts you can make starting that young.. most of us will have to live to be 200 just to finish what we've got on a list already!! |

The North Cities Quilt Guild meets at the Placentia Presbyterian Church on Bradford Ave. If you know where State College Blvd is and can get to Yorba Linda Blvd. Take YL East to Bradford and turn right (south). Boston Market is on the corner. Go down Bradford to the stop sign at Madison. The church is on your right about 3 house south of Madison. We meet the 4th Monday evening of the month. We are going to have a pot luck this month at 7PM. Come as my guest. Come about 6:30 and I will introduce you around. Almost everyone knows me because I am the go-between the guild and the church. Just ask for Verna and someone will get you to me. We meet in Key Center which is a building behind the church next to the driveway. We dress casually. Usually we have a speaker, but will have voting on officers for next year at this meeting. It should be a fun meeting and you can stick with me if you like. It is a nice group with a wide selection of ages and interests. Some are beginners and some are experts. All are helpful. We would love to see you. This month, the meeting date is Sept. 27th.
