Hi from mid-Michigan. :)

Hi everyone!
My name is Danielle and I'm 25 and embarking on my first quilting adventure. I'm attempting to figure out how to make a photo quilt for my best friend as a wedding present. If anyone knows how any info would be appreciated.

I decided to become crafty since I'm not longer in school and have free-time. Actual free-time for the first time in what seems forever. I would love to make quilts and learn to sew. I have taken two sewing classes so far. I've made a pillowcase and a tote bag. Both were semi-successful. Hopefully I can learn to sew straight. ;)

I love the color blue and the Harry Potter series. And I wish I could eat chocolate cake every day. I have four-year-old basset hound named Ranger. He is awfully cute.

I'm not sure what else I should write... But I'm looking forward to quilting in the near future.</SPAN>

Hello from Howell Michigan. Joann's and quilt stores that you can buy paper backed photo fabric that you print your pictures on, lots of threads on line to look at and get great ideas and tips.

You can also get the photo sheets at Wal Mart. I have used them many times. This is one I made several years ago. It is simple and was made for a friend who lost their dog. Good luck and welcome to the board from the friendly State of Alabama.

Welcome! You might want to hook up with a local quilt store and sign up for a quilting class or two. I learned a lot and then had the confidence to more forward on my own. Also, if you have a quilting guild in your area, join it. I knew if I surrounded myself with quilters, it would rub off and there is so much knowledge in one guild.

Welcome from OHIO! This is a great place to learn a lot. The quilters here seem to have the answer for every question about quilting. I have been quilting for years and still learn new things on this board. Take some classes, dive in and don't be afraid to ask.
