Hi from North Carolina! I'm very excited about joining this group and talking about all things quilting! I am new to quilting but have been sewing clothing and home decor for years. I am working on two BOM quilts but have fallen in love with string quilting and am looking forward to starting that next.

Welcome from the SHO-ME state - Missouri. My son-in-law is from Hickory, NC. You should do really good with quilting because you have the sewing background and know how to follow directions and sew an accurate seam. Just remember that most of the quilts have a 1/4 inch seam.

Hi Welcome from Co. I agree on the seam allowances, 1/4 inch as opposed to a wider seam in sewing, hard to get used to enjoy yourself.
