I am the daughter, granddaughter, and niece of some really fantastic quilters. I have always loved the beauty of quilts and have dreamed of having the time and ability to finally create some of my own. Well, the time has come and I am a little intimidated! I've accumulated a nice collection of fabrics, how-to books, and tools, but am fearful of attempting a quilt. I thought I might start with some place mats for my daughter. Does anyone have any good patterns to suggest? You all are so helpful and knowledgeable. I'd appreciate any ideas! Thanks!
