Hi all -- Linda from Houston, Texas again! When I first introduced myself I mentioned my first quilt I did for a school art project. Well, I've updated my profile/avatar with a pic of it. If I did it right ... it should show here, I guess! It's largely appliqued with the kids artwork using lots of iridescent threads, even used peacock feathers for some grass areas and I machine quilted in various patterns to create different textures, etc.-really hard to see in pic- but, for my first quilt experience-I think it came out pretty well. Now I'm ready to try a more traditional block-style quilt - but modernized for the teenage daughter's room! Looking for patterns or maybe an online (free?) software to create a pattern -- Any ideas are welcome! Thanks again for the warm welcome from everyone!

hi Linda, Beautiful quilt!!!
I broke down and ordered the Electric quilter 7 software. Quilt in a day has it on sale right now. There are tons of sites with free block pieceing instructions www.quilterscache.com has tons. |
Looks beautiful! Maybe you could post it here so we can see it better :)
