Howdy from snowbound north Missouri
Hi everyone, I am new to this board and anxious to learn oddles and gobs. I am an avid seamstress, and an intermediate quilter. I am looking forward to buying my own long arm quilting machine. I am looking forward to making 18 quilts for kids and grandkids in the near future. I have 5 kids and 13 grandchildren. I am a Nurse Practitioner who at this point is working full time, so look forward to time off to quilt. I think I might win a race for "she who has the biggest stash wins the race" LOL. It is my habit. Since I don't drink or smoke or do drugs, I have a pretty safe habit of buying fabric. Unfortunately in my rural area, there are few quilt shops. I am a farm girl and we raise black angus cattle. I do gardening, canning, freezing, rug hooking (the old fashioned kind), make reproduction samplers, etc. Am anxious to meet you all and become friends. Have fun quilting..marti

Hi and welcome from another SoCal quilter....you can find almost anything you ever want to know about quilting on this board!!

Welcome Marti - a big SHO-ME welcome - coming from Lebanon, MO. We also raise registered Angus cattle - DH just got done ear-tagging a new baby born in all of this mess/snow. Sounds like you may have to wait until you can retire to get much long-arm quilting done. Doubt if you can top my "story" but my sewing room's floor collapsed with the weight of all the fabric in it!!!!!
