Howdy from West Kentucky!

Hello everyone! I'm Danielle. I'm fairly new to quilting but absolutely love it and I'm really excited to have found a place where I can learn from more experienced quilters. I've just finished a log cabin baby quilt and am half way through hand quilting a queen size log cabin- what a chore that's been but it's turning out beautifully! I found this site while doing a search looking for a pattern for the Light In The Valley quilt and was saddened to see that it's pattented :( What a gorgeous work of art those quilts are.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting to know you all :)

Welcome from the SHO-ME state - Missouri. If you are in western KY, that means that you must be close to Paducah - my DD lives there and we go to the big quilt show every April.

Yes, NikkiLu, I'm about 25 miles west of Paducah, just about 5 minutes from the Missouri line. I've not yet been to the quilt show but I plan to go this Spring and I can't wait!

Thanks everyone for the wonderful welcomes :) Quilters are such warm people... probably because they're wrapped in quilts :D

Hi Hylarie! What part of Washington are you in? I just recently moved from Whidbey Island to West Kentucky...culture shock but this is way more home now. :)

Hi Bonnie! We'd probably bleed blue here too if we were sports people...but we're not really. We like to watch the super bowl each year but that's about the extent of our sports. My daughter likes to go to the high school games.

Thanks so much for the welcomes! :)
