Welcome from North Carolina! I think you'll love the Singer 306w the more you use it.

Welcome!! We lived in Peteluma in the '70s. It was a great little town and we loved the weather.

Sounds like you have a great grouping of machines -- it is great that your kids join you sewing.

Thanks you all. I gave the Singer to a friend at work who makes costumes for various events and I picked up a project Singer 99K with a hand crank. It'll be easier to control for us newbies once I get it cleaned up, repaired, and dialed in. There is a great quilt store in Petaluma and I picked up Marianne Fons and Liz Porter's book, "Quilters Complete Guide" to get the family started. I was setting up the Old White Rotary for my daughter last night and low and behold, when I lifted the machine to check the bobbin, the original green box of attachments appeared. It must have been hiding off to the side. Talk about a pleasant surprise...

We have been here for 10 years. It is a nice place. We may move eventually to a bigger place with a bit of land, but it'll be in Petaluma. My wife is involved in the art community here. She is a painter. She paints and paints and paints. Did I mention that she paints?
