Ronda K Beyer 05-31-2009 07:16 AM

Good Morning Everyone my name is Ronda Beyer and i found my way here from my Blog as I was linked to a thread topic about Glide Thread.

I suppose I now should say a little about myself... I am a forty something (well closer to 50 than 40) Longarm quilter, I live in Oregon with my husband and 2 dogs, Sophie a Jack Russell Terrier who just turned 1 and Max a Schnoodle (mini schanuzer/mini poodle mix) who is 4 months old. We have a son who would be turning 29 is deceased and a daughter who is 27, 3 gorgeous granddaughters and one grandson.

I have sewn, embroidered and quilted most of my life, my Mom has owned a fabric shop , Jane's Fabric Patch in Tillamook, Oregon for 28 years, before I started longarming full time I worked as an Estimating and Sales Manager for the Norhtwests largest Structural Steel Fabricator.

My 1st quilting machine was delivered on Mothers Day 2004 and I have not looked back since. I have won many awards locally and Internationally. To read more about me and lifes trials and tribulations you can read my blog www.RondaBeyer.wordpress.com and/or you can see some of my work at http://community.webshots.com/user/RondaBeyer.

This is probably more than you truly wanted to know... Happy Quilting

Welcome Ronda - I'd love to have the use of a long arm. Do you get much time to make quilts for yourself?

Lacelady 05-31-2009 07:23 AM

Sorry Ronda,
The above was probably a silly question, as I don't think I read your info. properly, and thought that you did more quilting for others than for yourself. By the way, I couldn't access your webshots address, but would love to see some of your work.

Welcome to the board Ronda!! From another Rhonda with an H! in SE Iowa. I always ask every Rhonda(Ronda) I meet what your middle name is. I'm just curious! Mine is Rae. I have a namesake but her parents named her Rhonda Kay. The last one I asked said her middle name is Lorraine.

I looked at your pictures and they are fantastic!! How long did you say you have been quilting? You are truly talented!

Ronda K Beyer 05-31-2009 01:56 PM

The "h" was dropped at birth, the middle name is Kae not Kay or Kaye, talk about having to correct the name spelling in not only my first name but in my second name as well...

Sula_Bug what is an EM?????

Yeah I know what you mean. I don't just give my name I have to spell it if I want it to be right. Most people don't use the H unless I say it.
Then I named my daughter Sarabeth like Elizabeth all one word no capitol B. Her middle name is Lee not Beth. Can you tell I've said that a few times? She is 33 now so you can imagine how many times i have said that!! She mostly goes by Sara now.
Thanks for indulging my curiosity!! RHonda
