Hi
This is Linda from SC ...am new at quilting but am sooo excited about getting started with first quilt project. I began my journey with paper piecing because this is the way I remember my mother doing it! I am having trouble with the tiny odd angle pieces and I'm so frustrated. I started with a block for an old school house and it has several adjoining pieces that connect to each other and all are at very odd angles. Any help...suggestions for how I might piece these small pieces. I've ripped out three times and I'm to stubborn to put aside and quit. Thanks for any ideas. This is my first posting so I hope I did this right!!

You might want to go to www.quilterscache.com and do her introduction to paper piecing. It is annoying when those stupid pieces flip in unexpected directions.

Welcome from NY. If you post "help with paper piecing" in the main area... you'll get loads of replies, I'm sure :) Many of the quilters doing the BOM Farmer's Wife Sampler are doing paper piecing.

Sorry, I,m not very good with computers so I can't post a picture but I can tell you it is from quilterscache.com web site and it is the 10" block for The Old Red School and it is the B template at the very bottom of the page where the #1 piece is a barn section/#2 is a sky section and #3 is a barn roof section.
I've been able to complete all other pieces nicely but this one section is giving me lots of problem....
Have a good day! and thanks for the reply.

Hi, thanks for the reply. In fact the pattern is off quilterscache.com and is the The Old Red School 10" block
B template at the very bottom where #1 is the barn #2 is the sky, and #3 is the barn roof. I've completed everything else on pattern and it actually looks good . I just can't seem to make these angles work out.
Thanks, Linda
