Hi!
I'm Ginnie and I'm a new quilter. I'm also a homeschool mom of 6 ranging from 20-4. I've made 2 quilts so far and am hooked! The first was a Sunbonnet Sue lapquilt. There's a long story behind that one. The next one was for an online quilt class I took. I just finished the top of it and haven't decided how to quilt it yet. I machine piece and hand quilt so far but I would like to learn to machine quilt. I also have a slew of critters I take care of. I'm excited to have found a quilting board to hang out on! Oh and I'm near Charlotte NC if anyone is close by and I would love irl quilting friends! |

well 2 have graduated so at the time I'm only homeschooling 3...the youngest has not started yet. My hubby works out of town during the week so I have nights that I have to do something with and quilting seemed a good thing.

Welcome from Colorado! Quilting would be great for lessons at home for the kids.
|
Welcome from Minnesota! Just think, you can use your quilting to teach your kiddos math! There is fractions, geometry, measuring, adding, subtracting...I see tons of lesson plans here! Don't most kids complain about "why do I need to know this? When am I ever going to use this?"
