I've been a seamstress for about 45 yrs, but only started quilting about 4 years ago, and I am hooked!!

With a good knowledge base of sewing, you'll do fine with quilting. One thing that surprised me when I started quilting is how many people were afraid to do curved seams. If you can put a sleeve on a top, you can do curved seams!

bikerbabe 03-09-2010 05:15 AM

That is so true ! I can't even imagine making a quilt with curved seams!!

There are lots of patterns that used curved seams. Drunkard's path is one of them. You won't have any problem doing it though because of your seamstress background.
