I have been on the board for a while but have never introduced myself. I would like to tell you the story of why I am here today. I went to a yard sale last year and picked up a quilt top that was cross stitch. It cost me $.50. What a bargain I was thinking!! Then I went out and bought some thread. That was about $20 (my first trip). Later, I noticed that I needed to sew three panels together in order to do the cross stitch. So, I pulled out my old Singer (38 years old) only to find that it did not work and later found out it was toast. I made a trip to several local stores and found the perfect sewing machine - a Horizon. Of course then I had to buy some books on how to quilt followed by purchses of material. The moral of this story? Yard sales are expensive!

Nobody ever said that yardsells were cheap, and quilting certainly isn't. But what in life isn't when you think about it.

Welcome to the board.
