Hi everyone...I just joined the group this morning. I look forward to getting to know all of you. I have quilted for about 4 years now. It has always been something I held dear to my heart. I can remember as a little girl, playing underneath the quilting frame, as my great-grandma and her lady friends quilted in my great great aunt's garage in the summer. I always loved quilts, and finally got up the nerve to try quilting for myself. I have finished one Jacob's Ladder thus far and am currently working on a basic 4" square patchwork quilt. I'm hoping to have it finished by this winter =) As a wife and mother of 2, it's hard to find time to do much of anything. But, I can assure you that every extra minute is spent with needle and thread in hand. So a big Hello to you all.

My first quilt =)

I wish I had paid more attention as well...lol...I can remember laying on my back on the cool concrete and watching the needles go in and out, in and out...and of course when they stopped, a beautiful work of art emerged. We were never allowed to touch the quilt though, but that's because little girls have a tendancy to have dirty fingers.
