Newbie

I am a fairly new quilter love to embroider and paper piecing. Would like to make a Mariner Compass later. I was a clothes maker but have discovered quilting is a lot of also. Would like to get together with some of people in my area to do some fun quilting.

Hi Dumpling! Welcome to our group. Any time you want to get on a plane and come to Vermont I'd love to meet you. The best thing about quilting after making clothes is that there are no zippers or fitted sleeves on a quilt. Lots to learn here.

Welcome from Andrews, NC. Boy are you ambitious! the mariner's compass is a beutiful pattern. If you are serious about making it I would suggest using the interfacing with the pattern on it already.
