Saying hi from Oregon :)

Hi Everyone,

This looks like a great place to be!

Up until last weekend, I had never quilted anything, ever. So I decided to actually open the beginners quilt book purchased well over six months ago, and dig in. Good decision..it's wonderful fun!!

I'm going to try to post a picture of my first project. It's not very big, only about 41"x42", so maybe it would be considered a wall hanging, or maybe a quilt for a little kid. Either way, I learned a lot but still have many questions, many of which I'm sure will be answered here.

The lighting in this photo is sort of off, it looks sort of "yellow" but it's really basic Christmas colors.

Nice to meet all of you

Karen

Welcome to the board. Its nice to meet a fellow Oregonian! We live on the Eastern side of the Cascades, close to Mt. Bachelor.

When posting pictures......DO NOT PREVIEW your post. It sends the pictures to the same place odd socks go to. :)

Welcome from Minnesota! We'd love to see a photo of your first quilt - the size sounds perfect for a baby quilt.

Hello from your neighbor to the North! We love the OR coast and travel there at least once per year. Such a beautiful state. Congrats on your first project. Watch out, the addiction sneaks up and without warning you will be obsessed. :)

Hi and welcome! I just had to say hello to a fellow Oregonian. Well I was until my hubby passed away and now I live with my daughter in Las Vegas. We were from Klamath Falls and I still miss all the camping and fishing and the total beauty of Oregon. I'm 78 now so don't do much but quilt, go on the computer and watch TV!! Sucks to get old..LOL
