Hello Everyone,

I am just beginning to learn to quilt and look forward to gaining knowledge from all you wonderful members. Your talent is awesome.

I am now closer to retirement (within 10 yrs) and looking forward to it every day. I work a full time job in the defense for Navy projects as a 3D cad designer and my outlet on the weekends is my crafts and hobbies.

I grew up watching my grandmother sew quilts and make beautiful 9 patch and I think it was a "Churndash" block, that's about as fancy as she got. I look forward to learning about the different designs that can be combined to make beautiful blocks.

Your talents blow me away in all the stuff I have seen on this blog!
