Hi. I'm a new quilter. I started with rag quilts just a few months ago and became obsessed with finding really good flannel. Searching hi and low for just the perfect print. I made 5 custom rag quilts for christmas gifts. Now I would like to expand a little and try working with some vintage chenille. Any ideas? Here is a picture of my very first one. I just love it. This one was so hard to give away!

Your rag quilt is beautiful. I love your color choices. What size squares do you use and how many across and down do you use? Lovely!

I cut 8 inch squares and place a piece of 7 inch batting inside each square. This quilt is 7 squares across by 8 down. Not to big. Just right for a lap to keep warm.

Welcome. That is wonderful and a great color combo.

Do you use special clippers or just scissors? I want to make one of those but I wonder about hand pain.
